Symptoms Of Ovulation



Throughout each month there are five days in a woman’s menstrual cycle when they are most fertile. Plus also there will be several days before and after they have ovulated that also increase the chances of a woman becoming pregnant. But in order for a woman to be able to recognize when she is at her most fertile stage when trying to get pregnant she needs to know what the symptoms of ovulation are.

In this article we take a look at the various symptoms of ovulation that women will experience. Although there are many not every woman will suffer from them all and may in fact only suffer from one or two. So just what are the symptoms that women will often experience when they are ovulating?

1. Tender Breasts – Not only is this a sign that a woman is ovulating but in fact is also an early sign that a woman may be pregnant. Women suffer from tender breasts when ovulating because more hormones are being created by her body than is normal at any other time of the month.

2. Bloated Abdomen – There will be some discomfort at this time being caused by the egg travelling down the fallopian tube to the woman. Along with this feeling some spotting may occur especially in some women after the egg has been released from the ovary.

3. Increased Body Temperature – This is something that occurs in many women when they are ovulating and is a result of different hormones being activated at this time. Although you can feel when your temperature is rising one way of actually establishing when it is at its optimum levels and so be able to tell when is the best time to make love to increase your chances of conceiving is to use a Basal Body Temperature thermometer. 4. Increased Levels Of Cervical Mucus – Certainly there will be some discharge from the cervix however when ovulating these levels increase. Plus the way it looks also changes. In the beginning it will be cloudy and sticky, but when a woman is ovulating it becomes clear and slippery and looks very similar in structure to egg whites. Making love at this time in order to conceive is important as the increase in the fertile cervical mucus will enable the sperm to travel through the cervix to the egg more easily.

5. Sex Drive Levels May Increase – Although not all women will suffer from this particular symptom associated with ovulation, many do. There is nothing really more we can add to this symptom of ovulation.
